What is Feng Shui?
The short answer is...feng shui (fung schway) is the ancient Chinese art of placement. Here’s the skinny. The Chinese believe everything (and we mean everything) has an energy, call chi (chee). Chi flows like water. Good chi brings good things. The ancients used to believe that honoring your ancestors produced good chi. In order to honor the ancestors, our forebearers would choose the most beautiful, auspicious places for burial grounds. They used the forms of the land to determine those beautiful, auspicious places. Eventually, some 3000 years ago, they began to use those forms to determine auspicious placement for their homes and farms. As the population urbanized, the forms of the land no longer did the job. They turned to other tools (such as the compass) to determine auspicious placement. Now that you have the short and the skinny, click here if you would like more history.

Feng shui has continued to evolve through the centuries. Today there are many forms. At Feng Shea, we practice BTB (Black Hat Sect Tantric Buddhist). BTB uses a map to determine how the areas of your life relate to your space. This map is called the bagua.
How do I feng shui?
By using the bagua, you can apply your intentions for your life to your space. If you would like more money, put something purple in your prosperity area. This is a simple example of an enhancement. The bagua has many more layers of sensory activation than just color, but color is the easiest to understand. Every time you see that purple object, you will remember your intention of creating positive energy and directing it toward your prosperity.
